In the English food vocabulary class, we learned the word "bread", which is an innumerable noun that refers to bread, and is commonly paired with "a piece of bread" and "loaf of bread".

In the food English bilingual class, the teacher taught us to describe the types of bread in English and say "Bread is a staple food made from flour, water and yeast, baked in an oven" in English.

The foreign language teacher asked: "Why is 'bread' an uncountable noun in English?" How do you express 'a slice of bread' and 'a loaf of bread'? This is the basic test point of noun countability.
